Your health consists of your unique layers. These layers might look like: food/nutrition, working out/movement, mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, community, family, past experiences… The list goes on and on.
Each one of these layers matters when it comes to informing your well-being. That’s why we appropriately named this program “Stratified Strength”.
Nothing is a one-size fits all approach here.

Our clients have shared with us time and time again their stories of being led astray by trainers and “nutritionists”. In the past, you may have been made to feel as if you would utterly fail without professional guidance only to be let down by your experience.
We acknowledge that you are completely capable if you are taught… And you can be!
With a combined 26 years in this business, we can teach you how to put together a training program for yourself, how to perform strength moves in a safe and reliable way, how to get strong (and stay strong), how to think through what your body needs, how to eat, what to eat, when to eat.
We have been taught – therefore, you can be taught too.
We will teach you what we know so you can continuously use it to enhance your life. For good.

Here’s what the program entails and what your commitment will look like:
- Two 1:1 personal training sessions each week
- Two 1:1 nutrition consultations each month
- One functional nutrition test – we will decide together what to use depending on what your needs are. Gut testing and micronutrient testing are popular choices!

Meet Bryan Crossley, MS
Bryan was a scholarship Division I baseball player and has 20 years of experience in the personal training industry. He owns BC Strength Training in Washington, DC where he trains a wide range of clients from those just coming off of physical therapy or surgery to previous athletes.
When I watch Bryan train his clients, I hear how easy it is for him to break things down. His clients are able to safely perform strength movements they’ve been too afraid to try their entire lives once he explains how simple it can be for them. No one comes into our gym and feels out of place, intimidated, or like they don’t belong.
You will work with Bryan or another trusted trainer in 1:1 personal strength training sessions at BC Strength Training in the heart of Washington, D.C.
Meet Kylie Fagnano,
MS, RDN, LDN, IFNCP, CLT
Kylie is an Integrative and Functional Registered Dietitian. She owns a private practice, Strata Nutrition, where she works primarily with digestive health/autoimmune diseases as well as foundational nutrition guidance. Empowering her clients, giving them confidence, and helping them feel completely certain when navigating the food system is what lights her up!
I’ve listened to the way Kylie talks to her nutrition clients and I can tell how cared for they feel. Her superpower is making people feel seen and understood. No one gets the exact same solutions, everything is tailored towards each individual’s current set of needs and priorities. Kylie helps create simple, realistic tools and habits for day to day implementation of nutrition…whatever that looks like for each client.
You will work with with Kylie 1:1 each month focusing on teaching you the non-negotiables you’ll want to create habits around in order to maintain YOUR version of health.

Do I have to have any previous experience working out?
I’m a vegetarian (vegan, keto, paleo, etc…). Will Kylie still be able to work with me?
You bet! All preferences and dietary needs will be considered and honored. Please know, if there is reason to share professional advice that might go against a particular dietary choice, that information will be shared with you. It will always be your decision how you’d like to implement that advice (or not).
I don’t want to feel like I can’t eat anything. Is that what the “diet” part of this will look like?
Couldn’t be further from that! Kylie teaches and practices from a “what foods SHOULD be included” perspective, rather than from a “remove, can’t have, stay away from” perspective. If you’ve had less than stellar experiences with dietitians or nutritionists in the past with this… We understand your hesitation. But please know, that’s not what this will look or feel like.
Sure! We have a partnership with a local meal planning service that is often helpful in these cases.
I’m willing to cook and prepare meals at home, but I feel overwhelmed by the thought of it. Will this program help with that?
100% yes. You’ll receive a combination of hand holding and also teaching you how to think through doing it on your own without Kylie’s direct guidance. That way you’ll have a way to get started successfully right away AND you’ll have a skill set to implement for the long run.
Nope! You’ll likely see changes in your body, because you’re getting stronger but nothing that should make you feel worried about being “bulky”.
What if I don’t fit all 30 sessions with Bryan or all 6 sessions with Kylie into the 3 months because of vacations, being sick, etc.?
Stratified Strength is designed to be completed in 3 months to keep you accountable, keep you progressing, and to consistently be teaching you. Consistency is what we’re looking for here. That being said, we’re human too. We’ll go on vacation and need days off as well. If there are any sessions that you haven’t been able to use at the end of 3 months, you’ll have an additional 4 weeks to get them scheduled with us!
For cancellations, we require a 24 hour notice to reschedule. Please know that we will always try our best to accommodate last minute changes in scheduling but depending on availability, it may not be possible to reschedule within the same week.
Any appointment that is missed without notice or canceled within the 24 hour window will not be rescheduled.

What are the next steps after I complete Stratified Strength?
You have some choices:
- You’ll have Bryan’s 12-week strength training program to continue to work through and repeat on your own. Note: By this point, you’ll know how to do each exercise, what weights to use, how to increase them, etc.
- You can continue 1:1 personal training with your trainer without nutrition guidance.
- If you are struggling with GI issues you can move into 1:1 work with Kylie.
- You can do JUST month-month nutrition sessions with Kylie and NO personal training
- You can fly on your own! (Afterall, that is our ultimate goal!)
You will not be left on your own unless that’s what you’re really ready for. So, if you need a little more support at the end of 3 months, the options above will help!

Seriously – that’s EIGHT 1-on-1 in-person personal training sessions with a five-star PT and TWO 1-on-1 virtual nutrition sessions with an expert registered dietitian every month!
